Tuition

Tuition is quoted on a total program basis.  Registration is not complete until payment is received or arrangements for payment have been completed.  Payments can be made in installments or via PayPal. EIPS does not offer loans, scholarships, or tuition discounts. The institution does not participate in state or federal financial aid programs.

Any students who request to take a course that is not in their program will be charged $125 if the course is taken on a one-on-one basis. The following is a list of the miscellaneous fees, which are charged as applicable in addition to the tuition and the textbook costs associated with each program:

*   All tuition and fees must be paid in full before an official transcript can be issued.

** Initial and continuation of monthly installment payments or monthly or quarterly PayPal payments are at the discretion of EIPS. If a student is more than 10 days late with a monthly installment payment or a monthly or a quarterly PayPal payment, he/she is subject to suspension.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:

CANCELLATIONS:

Per Section IX of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission Accreditation Handbook and the Standards of the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education, a student’s notification of cancellation may be conveyed to the institution in any manner. A student has five (5) calendar days [seven (7) calendar days CA residents only] after signing an enrollment agreement or similar contractual document to cancel enrollment and receive a full refund of all monies paid the institution. The institution will make the refund within 30 days of cancellation.

The refund will Not include:

  1. An application/transfer of credit evaluation fee of $75;
  2. A one-time registration fee of $200; and
  3. Library service fees for EBSCO.

REFUNDS:

Any money due a student must be refunded within 30 days of cancellation request, regardless of whether materials have been purchased.

Specifically, the refund policy for correspondence/online instruction programs provides that this institution will calculate a refund of the unused portion of tuition fees and other charges if the student does not register for the period of attendance or withdraws there from at any time prior to completion of the courses, or otherwise fails to complete the period of enrollment. The institutional refund policy for students who have completed 60 percent or less of the course of instruction shall be a pro rata refund. No refunds are available after completion of 60 percent of the program.

If the student obtains a loan to pay for an educational program, the student will have the responsibility to repay the full amount of the loan plus interest, less the amount of any refund. If the student defaults on a federal or state loan, both the following may occur:

  1. The federal or state government or a loan guarantee agency may take action against the student, including applying any income tax refund to which the person is entitled to reduce the balance owed on the loan.
  2. The student may not be eligible for any other federal student financial aid at another institution or other government financial assistance until the loan is repaid.

The refund shall be calculated on a pro-rata basis as follows:

Refund Example:  A new MA student withdraws at end of Week 2 (enrolled in one class over 11 weeks).

The school will also refund money collected and sent to a third party, on the student’s behalf, such as license or application fees. If the school cancels or discontinues a course or educational program, the school will make a full refund of all charges. Refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation or withdrawal. The registration fee of $200 and the application/transfer of credit evaluation fee of $75 are nonrefundable and are part of the calculation should there be a withdrawal/refund. The notification of withdrawal may take any form of communication.
