Certificate in Life and Personal Coaching

Requirements – Bachelor’s degree

A Life and Personal Coaching career provides the basis for personal, professional and financial success. Coaches improve client’s ability to set and achieve goals by helping them identify and take advantage of natural strengths. Completion of the Certificate or the Master’s program leads the way for Certification as a Life Coach.

The basic requirement is an undergraduate degree. This is a Graduate Certificate, so the courses may be applied to the Masters (M.A.) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) programs.

The program is comprised of the following courses:

  • Psy 622  Life and Personal Coaching  Fundamentals
  • Psy 653  Designing the Coaching Relationship
  • Psy 654  Law and Ethics for Life Coaches
  • Psy 655  Solutions and Mindset in Coaching
  • Psy 656  Gaining Focus
  • Psy 657  Group Coaching Psy 658  Life and Personal Coaching Practicum*

*For students who do not take Psy658, they may substitute Psy622

Each Certificate requires  6 courses (30 quarter units.)
In order to achieve a Certificate, a minimum G.P.A. of  2.75 is required.
