Clinical Health Psychology is a specialization that deals with biological, psychological and sociological factors. Health Psychologists can interface with a wide variety of other healthcare professionals or work in a mental health setting. The The Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.)—Area of Interest—Clinical Health Psychology program deals with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the individual.
Eisner Institute for Professional Studies (EIPS) offers a variety of online psychology programs. EIPS is approved by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education
We offer graduate degrees in psychology.
EIPS offers health psychology courses online that lead to a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree.
There are several specialized health psychology courses online including: Psychoneuroimmunology, psychopharmacology, life and personal coaching, meditation, hypnosis and visualization, and mind, body and consciousness.
There are a myriad of career opportunities in the health psychology arena including teaching, research, and private practice. With a background in health psychology, the graduate can interface with a wide variety of health care professionals in hospitals and mental health settings.
A major advantage at EIPS is that we do not require a Thesis or Dissertation in our health psychology online program. On the other hand we require a Capstone which is either a position paper or a research proposal.
The health psychology online programs are two years.
EIPS uses an asynchronous format that allows for great flexibility in terms of time and convenience. All health psychology courses are taken online. There is no residency requirement.
